About Rainer

Rainer Duda, born january 30, 1985 - is a brave captain of a team of top talented people. Furthermore product specialist for Clarisse iFX as well as Houdini FX. In late 2011 he founded the technology-driven CGI company called RD|INNOVATIONS – Advanced Computer Graphics. He graduated from HFU Hochschule Furtwangen University with a BSc hons. degree in informatics concentrating in online media and 3D applications.

His main task is the production of complex simulation systems within the software packages. He is specialized in procedural modeling techniques, creation of visual effects such as fluid, fire and destruction systems as well as physically based rendering and advanced rendering tasks.

His speech and the one of the end user are very close since he has generally worked in production with some of Isotropix and Side Effects major prospects. He has a strong knowledge of various production pipelines and of the different offers available on the market. He uses the software packages from stratec partners for demonstration sessions in trade shows and may conduct training sessions for new users and studios. He can provide technical support, fix bugs, and take part to the user guide and tutorials conception. He looks for new trends on the market while doing competitive intelligence and benchmarking.

Alongside the above explained core fields he is passionate technical author and he is publishing monthly masterclasses, in-depth articles and news in major DCC print magazines and CGI online portals. His journey through the broad field computer generated imagery guieded him from classical painting, 3D modeling and sculpting up to his favorite area technical art and programming. Rainer gained a lot of experience not only by working in the feature film industry. In addition the made almost five years technical art and art outsourcing for Bullet Run, a Sony Online Entertainment published MMOFPS which was previously known as Parabellum the Game, developed by Acony Games with the UNREAL ENGINE 3. TRIDELITY a reseller of autostereoscopic displays based on parallax barrier technology worked together with Rainer to create content for autostereoscopic displays and tools which allow rendering for autostereoscopic displays with various technologies like lenticular lense or Side by Side techniques. 3D-LABS a high end 3D printing company joined forces with Rainer as well to develop 3D configuration tools that customers can make their own objects which can be later on 3D printed. He also went back to his university and worked on semester as a lecturer for the field game design with a strong focus on the informatics side.

About RD|INNOVATIONS

RD|INNOVATIONS is a privately held and international operating, technology-driven company founded in 2011. This young and dynamic company is located at the heart of the black forest in germany. The strategic focus of the company lies in newest technologies around the fields computer generated imagery, virtual reality and trends which support computer generated imagery like 3D scanning as well as 3D printing.
The repertoire of services covers mainly the fields advanced computer grahics and digital image processing. Especially conceptual design and development of top notch animations and simulations with the target to create real life footage. Secondary nine in-house industrial 3D printers and 3D scanning devices allow the creation of advanced requisites, licensed figurines and speed up asset creation for digital footage.

In addition RD|INNOVATIONS is constantly refining in-house hard- and software technologies to ensure an optimum of quality and performance. Furthermore the company offers goal orientated courses and masterclasses in the field of advanced computer graphics. Goal of the trainings is to prepare artists, TDs and teams for upcoming challenges within a professional production pipeline. All courses will be held based on top notch software packages available on the market. In private and confindential collaboration with international operating creative companies, VFX facilities and software development companies in the same field arises a knowledge-chain which starting from the development of newest tools for problem solving, over teaching this problem solving solutions to potential employees, stratigic partners and customers.

Available are the courses as individual trainings and team trainings for individuals and companies. Alongside the above-named RD|INNOVATIONS sells software packages including self developed pipeline modules.
